#TBT

Hello friends and family! Time for a #ThrowBackThursday. I realized that I never posted about the activities of our Summer Missions Team from June. SO much happened during that time, and I wasn't able to keep up with my personal blog as well as the Hope for People blog.

Our plate was full with Youth Outreach programs, teacher training, Medical Camps with Simpson University nurses, and a Pastor's Conference. Rather than trying to describe everything with words, I’ll give you a little picture blog (below). If you want to hear the full story of our daily activities, visit the Hope for People blogs!

Vacation Bible School

Every year, a team of Americans conducts a youth outreach ministry. We visit various churches in the community and facilitate a 1-day program filled with music, skits, lessons, games, and crafts all teaching about God. This year, we challenged the children to think about what it means to live a Christ-centered life, using the story of David and Goliath.

Medical Camps

Simpson University sends an amazing team of nurses who come to Mori to conduct free medical camps for the community. Villagers here often don't go for regular check-ups for a variety of reasons, so we provided free and accessible medical care. Physicians from the Care Hospital group also attended to provide consultation and referrals to the patients.
